Kim Peyser

Kim Peyser joined EY having served most recently at the United States Department of Agriculture. Peyser was appointed by President Biden to serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration in May of 2021. She oversaw the portfolios of the Office of Customer Experience, Office of Homeland Security, Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization and Office of Contracting and Procurement. In addition, she led the Department and it's 100,000 employees through several major change management efforts including: managing through COVID-19, navigating a return to increased office presence and preparing for a Government Shutdown. Prior to joining the USDA, Peyser served as the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Department of Commerce and was a member of President Biden’s transition team leading on appointments for both the Department of Commerce and the Small Business Administration. In the Obama Administration she served for 6 years including as Chief of Staff to the CFO/ASA at the Department of Commerce. She has operational experience growing and leading teams of all sizes both in and outside of Government. She has a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a BA from Colgate University. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and her daughter.
