Linnea Xu serves as the Product Owner at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, for the newly launched website, FiscalData.Treasury.gov. This site will create a centralized experience for all public-facing Fiscal Service data, emphasizing machine-readable data and comprehensive documentation to enable analyses. She previously oversaw the development and operations of USAspending.gov, the authoritative resource for federal spending data, and part of the first government-wide agile project in implementing the DATA Act. She also received the Gears of Government Award for her work on the Data Lab, a website designed to increase transparency and public understanding of government financial data. Prior to working at Treasury, Linnea worked as an Implementation Manager in the private sector, supporting a B2B website that consistently received accolades for its user interface and responsiveness. She also taught high school English in the Mississippi Delta through Teach for America. Linnea received a B.A. in Government and Religious Studies at Claremont McKenna College and a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
