Malissa Smith

Ms. Malissa Smith is the Director of Enterprise Solutions and Integration (ESI). She serves as the functional portfolio manager and system integrator for the Department of Defense’s Civilian Human Resources Management (CHRM) IT systems. Ms. Smith also provides enterprise strategic solutions that support more than 900,000 defense employees worldwide through business process re-engineering, process improvement, and system integration. Ms. Smith’s career spans over 20 years, in Department of Defense. Prior to serving as the Director of ESI, Malissa comes in the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), and serving as Director, Program Management 1 Division within Customer Relationship Management. In that role, she lead a diverse team of program managers and information technology specialists responsible for the development, direction, management, deployment, and sustainment of information technology programs for all DoD military and civilian manpower data systems. Previous positons include, SES Senior Advisor to the Federal Electronic Health Record Modernization (FEHRM) formally known as the Interagency Program Office (IPO), Program Manager for Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization (DHMSM) Program Office, Director of Deployment and Training for Defense Medical Information Exchange (DMIX), Program Manager, Chemical Biological Defense (CBD), Senior Acquisition Logistician supporting various Army Program Executive Offices. She has received numerous awards and honors in her career and holds a Bachelors in Business with minor in Information Systems. Her professional certifications include DAWIA Level III, Program Management, and DAWIA Level II Life Cycle logistics and holds Acquisition Corps membership since 2012.
