Ms. Maribel Langas Miller has built her decades-long federal career by seamlessly transitioning across key agencies while shaping policy, oversight, and financial accountability at the highest levels of government. Her early work in Alaska with the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service laid a strong foundation in environmental stewardship, which later informed her leadership in financial policy and oversight in Washington, D.C.
At the Department of the Interior, she reinforced strategic governance efforts on a national scale, ensuring that financial policies aligned with broader governmental objectives. As a leadership fellow in the White House Executive Office of the President, she played a pivotal role in implementing the President’s Management Agenda, driving transformative policy improvements across federal agencies.
Now, with over five years at the Department of Defense, Ms. Miller applies her expertise at the intersection of accounting and oversight, advancing key priorities such as lethality, meritocracy, accountability, standards, and readiness. Her ability to leverage transferable skills allows her to inject operational insights into solving enterprise-level challenges, ensuring that financial management practices support the broader mission of national defense.
