Mary Flaherty

Ms. Mary Flaherty currently serves as the Integration Branch Head for the Internal Controls and Compliance Division within the Department of Navy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management and Comptroller (FM&C)). In her role, she is responsible for the driving the overall governance of the A-123 Program and the successful integration of the DON’s Integrated Risk Management (IRM) Internal Controls over Reporting – Financial (Financial Reporting and Financial Systems) with ICOR-Operations (ICOR-O) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) for the DON. Ms. Flaherty is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who has worked for the Department the Navy for the past 15 years, serving as both contractor and civilian, within the financial, accounting and audit arenas. Her experience serving in various internal control roles across both the Echelon I and Echelon II organizations within the DON allows her to provide an effective perspective to aide in successful implementation and execution of the DON’s IRM Program activities and assessments.
