Melanie Geesaman CGFM, CPA, PMP

Melanie is a Director within Guidehouse’s Defense and Security (D&S) Segment and Financial Management Community of Practice. Melanie has supported the federal finance community since 2007, and leverages her technical background and relationships to help her clients solve complex problems and meet their strategic goals leveraging multiple capability areas. Melanie is a passionate leader and she prides herself in leading diverse engagements primarily across DHS HQ, CISA, TSA, and USCG, where her teams assist clients in digital and finance transformation, internal control program support, risk management, audit support, OCFO strategy, and financial system modernization. Melanie has a B.S.B.A with a concentration in Accounting from Christopher Newport University, where she also played NCAA softball. She also has a MAcc from the College of William and Mary, where she currently serves on the Employer Advisory Board. Melanie holds a CPA, CGFM, and PMO and is active in industry. Melanie serves as the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) DC Chapter Communications Director. Melanie and her husband live in Vienna, VA with their three daughters. Melanie enjoys coaching her daughters’ softball teams, spending time with family, and being active in the community.
