Omar Ochoa is a Supervisory Auditor for the VA’s Office of Business Oversight, where he serves as an oversight Program Manager over Veteran grants. He has over 15 years of extensive audit and leadership experience providing, developing and executing audit procedures to ensure federal programs are accounted for in accordance with federal and programmatic regulations. Omar holds a Master of Public Affairs from The University of Texas, Austin, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas State University, San Marcos. Omar served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps as a non-commissioned officer and infantry unit leader, including one combat tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, and is an active member of his church.
