Philip D. Hepperle is the Director of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) at the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) in Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Hepperle manages the DoD OIG-wide EEO program, promoting a diverse and respectful work environment which enables employees to reach their full potential. He also has extensive experience in engaging with Reasonable Accommodation requests in the federal workplace. Mr. Hepperle has over 30 years of federal EEO experience. Mr. Hepperle started his career as a Workforce Recruitment Program for College Students with Disabilities (WRP) student in 1990 with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Upon graduation from college, Mr. Hepperle was hired by DLA Headquarters under the Schedule A program as an upward mobility EEO Specialist. Prior to serving as the EEO Director at DoD OIG, Mr. Hepperle served as the EEO Director at the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), where he oversaw the centralization of their EEO Program. Mr. Hepperle also served at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) during its standup from 2002 till 2008. Mr. Hepperle graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's of Science degree in sociology. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for performance excellence, including twice receiving the Defense Logistics Agency Superior Civilian Service Medal. He was born and raised in Iowa, and has lived in the Washington, D.C. metro area since 1992
