Pilar Pangelinan CGFM

Professor, Guam Community College

Pilar Pangelinan is currently the Director for Chapters Area 2 on the National Governing Board of AGA. She is a member of the AGA Guam Chapter for the the last 10 years. She serves as its Programs Committee Co-Chair and past president (2020-2021). She is a Professor at Guam Community College. She has taught accounting courses for over fifteen years. She has experience in budget and grant management. She earned an Associate's degree at Pima Community College, then transferred to the University of Arizona for her Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Personnel Management. She later earned her Master's in Business Administration from the University of Guam. She has earned the following certifications: Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) and Certified Bookkeeper (CB). At the college, she is an advisor of Beta Beta Xi, a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, which is the honor society for the two-year college and the Association of Junior Accountants.
