Renee Cooper is the Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Grants at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she manages grants policy and training for the agency, as well as the Federal government shared grant services, Grants.gov and GrantSolutions. She has 25 years of experience in the Federal, state, and non-profit financial assistance arena. She was previously the Acting Deputy Director for the National Institute of Justice where she led the management and oversight function for the Department of Justice research and evaluation grant portfolio. In her role as a consultant at two major consulting firms, she has helped her clients build high-profile grant programs and the policies, processes, and organizational infrastructure needed to effectively manage those programs for enduring results.
