Robert Hackworth

Robert is Chief Information Security Officer and part-time Chief Data Privacy Officer for the Kentucky Department of Education. He guides policy and strategic efforts to improve security and privacy at the agency and Kentucky's 171 public school districts for all students and staff.
A lifelong learner and educator, Robert strives to balance the needs of security and privacy initiatives with the needs of educators and students. Prior to becoming CISO over 10 years ago, he led development of Kentucky K12's statewide longitudinal data system among many other exciting ed-tech adventures.
