Audit Analytics Manager and Methodologist, City and County of Denver

Dr. Samuel Gallaher is the Audit Analytics Manager and Methodologist for the Denver Auditor’s Office. He and the audit analytics team run the office’s continuous audit program and develop scripts to identify risks and control failures on millions of records through automated connections to Workday and other city systems. Through his work as an engineer, social scientist, and analytics manager Dr. Gallaher has over 15 years of program and process evaluation experience, particularly through the application of explanatory and predictive statistics. He is passionate about teaching others how to use data to inform decision makers and has provided analytics courses to auditors around the world and served as part-time faculty at the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Public Affairs where he taught graduate courses on Evidence-Based Decision Making, Research Methods and Statistics, and Policy Analysis.
