Samuel Worth spent over twenty-nine years as a Special Agent of the United States Naval Criminal Investigative Service, retiring in August 2018. He served in a variety of assignments in the United States and overseas, including a Special Agent Afloat tour deployed aboard an aircraft carrier and a tour as Personal Security Advisor to the Secretary of the Navy. Senior leadership positions included Deputy Assistant Director for NCIS Protective Operations, and Special Agent in Charge of the NCIS Norfolk, VA Field Office. His executive leadership assignments included Executive Assistant Director for NCIS Middle East & Pacific Operations; Executive Assistant Director for Criminal Investigations; Principal Executive Assistant Director for Management & Administration; and NCIS Deputy Director. Mr. Worth graduated from Norwich University, Northfield, VT in 1987 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He completed the DoD Senior Executive APEX Session 38, and is a graduate of the FBI National Executive Institute, Session XXXV. His awards include the Department of the Navy (DoN) Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the DoN Superior Civilian Service Award, the DoN Meritorious Civilian Service Award, and he was the recipient of the Presidential Rank Award in 2018. Since retiring from NCIS, Mr. Worth has served as an advisor in the areas of law enforcement, counterintelligence, and insider threat.
