Scott C. Brna MBA, CPA

Scott Brna is the Deputy Director, Financial Operations within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). In this capacity, he oversees accounting for operations, loans, environmental liabilities, pensions, and payroll. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), a master’s in business administration from Syracuse University, and is an active licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Scott has dedicated his entire career to public service in the federal government, working his way up to Deputy CFO at the Program Support Center (PSC), HHS where he spent 29 years. Scott oversaw accounting operations for Food Safety Inspection Service, USDA, for one year prior to joining DOE in July, 2020.
