Shawnda White-Drewery joined the U.S. Department of the Treasury as the Director of the Insider Risk Management Office, under the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (OIA)—focused on the oversight and management of Treasury’s Department-wide Insider Threat Enterprise Program. Previously, she worked for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as the Deputy Director of the Counterintelligence Mission Center (CIMC) within the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A). She was responsible for the management of the Counterintelligence Operations, Analysis and Production and Enterprise Program Management Branches—dedicated to providing governance toward the establishment of counterintelligence programs across 23 DHS functional and operational components. Prior to DHS, Shawnda led a cadre of insider threat professionals actively examining insider threat cases at the Defense Insider Threat Management and Analysis Center (DITMAC) for the Defense Security Service (DSS), now known as the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). She spent the bulk of her career—over 15 years—with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) holding various positions overseas and headquarters in Analysis, Operations and Investigations, Collections and Source Management, as well as serving as the Senior NCIS representative to the Office of Naval Intelligence.
