Sheila Weinberg, CPA, is Truth in Accounting's (TIA's) founder and CEO. TIA's mission is to educate and empower citizens with understandable, reliable, and transparent government financial information. TIA’s research initiatives include the “The Truth about Balanced Budgets: a Fifty State Study”, the “Financial State of the States” and the “Financial State of the Union”. Because of her expertise in governmental budgeting and accounting, Ms. Weinberg has testified before the FASAB, GASB and numerous state legislative hearings. She is a member of the AGA’ Financial Management Standards Board, the Illinois CPA Society's Governmental Accounting Executive Committee and the University of Denver’s School of Accountancy Advisory Board.
