Sherry Weir, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Data Foundation, is a Marine veteran with an extensive career in helping public sector organizations improve and modernize technology programs. Since joining Kearney and Company in 1996 and becoming a Partner in 2005, Sherry has focused on Kearney’s financial management and information systems consulting business, primarily within the Departments of the Treasury, Homeland Security, Education, and Veterans Affairs. From 2015 to 2019, Sherry played a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the DATA Act and USASpending.gov. Her dedication to managed change and agile development practices is evident in her work, ensuring programs deliver desirable outcomes, teams feel a sense of success, and individuals experience professional growth. In addition to her role at Kearney, Sherry has served as Treasurer of the Data Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2022 and 2023, and she proudly serves as Chair in 2024. Her board experience also includes positions with the Agency Council for Technology/Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) and the Association of Federal Financial Information Resource Management (AFFIRM). Sherry currently resides in Florida with her husband, Dr. Arnold Fariello, DDS retired and her two standard poodles, Maggie and Lilly.
