Sonia Jolly is the Director of Finance Modernization and Technology, reporting to the CFO heads of office. She leads a team of innovators with her in-depth knowledge and skills in financial policies, procedures, cost accounting, financial system implementation, financial project management, and robotic process automation for finance/accounting functions. She has a proven ability to improve operations and impact business growth as seen by her innovative business outcomes for IRS CFO with savings, workload reduction and efficiencies deployed utilizing automation. Sonia has 20+ years’ progressive experience as a highly qualified accounting and financial leader. She has been a federal government employee for nearly 4 of those years at IRS CFO and made the switch from outside the federal government serving the federal financial community as a consultant to inside the federal government, to ensure she was able to create impact and value for the public. Prior to her service with IRS CFO, Sonia worked at Booz Allen, Deloitte, Lockheed Martin, and Northrup Grumman, all serving the federal financial community through a variety of agencies. Her success was due to prioritizing client service and always seeking the most optimized and efficient way to perform accounting and financial functions, which she brings to the CFO. Sonia has a master's in business administration from Georgetown University, and a bachelor’s degree in finance and management from The University of Virginia.
