Stacie Massey serves as Deputy Director of Grants and Financial Reporting at the Ohio Office of Budget and Management, where she leads initiatives that strengthen financial transparency and advance effective grants management across the state. With more than 25 years of public sector experience, she brings a deep understanding of government finance, accountability, and interagency collaboration.
Before joining the state’s budget office, Stacie held key roles at multiple Ohio agencies, including the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, the Ohio Auditor of State, the Ohio Department of Public Safety, and the Ohio Emergency Management Agency. This broad background gives Stacie a deep understanding of state operations, financial controls, and public-sector challenges across diverse environments.
In her current role, Stacie oversees the Financial Reporting team responsible for producing the State of Ohio’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, a critical document that reflects the state’s fiscal health and accountability to taxpayers. She also leads the Ohio Grants Partnership, an initiative that provides guidance, resources, and training to Ohio’s grants community to improve statewide grants management practices and support compliance, efficiency, and cross agency collaboration.
Stacie’s contributions to the field have earned national recognition. In 2021, she received the National Grants Management Association’s Public Sector Impact Award for contributions to advancing grants management excellence. Stacie continues to support the profession at the national level as an officer on the National Grants Management Association’s Board of Directors.
