Susan Irving is Director for Federal Budget Analysis in Strategic Issues at GAO where she oversees work on the long-term fiscal outlook, congressional budget process, user fees and federal debt management. She previously served as Legislative Assistant and Legislative Director to members of the Senate Finance Committee, Staff Director of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers and on the faculty at the John F. Kenney School of Government. Susan has an MPP and Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard University. She appears in Who’s Who in America, is the recipient of AABPA’s James L. Blum Award and of AGA’s Elmer Staats award.
