Administrative and Training Manager, NY Office of the State Comptroller

Suzanne Mazone is the Assistant Director of Administration at the Division of State Government Accountability in the Office of the New York State Comptroller. In collaboration with senior leadership, she develops and implements strategic plans and goals for the Division, in addition to overseeing financial, administrative, and performance activities.

In this role, Suzanne also leads various teams that continue to bring national recognition to the Division’s audit work, secure grant funding for specialized audit training, and promote learning and partnerships through national and international audit delegations.

Prior to this position, Suzanne worked as an auditor in the Division for over 20 years. Suzanne was an integral part of the Fraud and Forensic Audit Unit, whose work led to the successful prosecution of numerous individuals engaged in fraudulent activity. Suzanne also developed and delivered a fraud training program to over 20 organizations across New York State to help financial managers better understand and manage the risk of fraud in their organizations.

Suzanne earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Oswego, and pursues genealogy in her spare time.
