Tammie Johnson

Tammie Johnson is a Program and Management Analyst for the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service's Office of Financial Innovation and Transformation (FIT). She is currently working with agencies and grantees to explore how distributed ledger technology (aka blockchain) can be used to provide increase transparency and reduce reporting burden for multi-tier grant payments. Previously, she worked with agencies to continue addressing fraud and improper payment challenges. She worked on a pilot project to seek to prevent fraud, waste and abuse at the Veterans Administration. Building off this work and related research, she led efforts to develop the Program Integrity: The Antifraud Playbook to help agencies build or enhance their antifraud program.
