Executive Director since 2018, Dr. Klobucar’s work focuses on increasing access to care for Veterans and creating partnerships to better serve Veterans and their families in the communities where they live. Before working at VA, Tom worked in commercial research and academe, holding faculty appointments at The University of Iowa College of Public Health and The Iowa State University Department of Political Science. A retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant, he spent his military career as a Cryptologic Russian Linguist and Arms Control Inspector/Interpreter.
