Tony Bainbridge serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for USDA Rural Development. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for providing oversight related to accounting, budget, and compliance needs concerning Rural Development's $224 Billion direct and guaranteed loan portfolio.
Before his position as CFO, Tony had been cultivating his career within the Farmer's Home Administration since July 1989. He served many roles within USDA Rural Development, such as Director of the National Financial and Accounting Operations Center (NFAOC), which expanded in 2018 to include the Customer Service Center (CSC). Mr. Bainbridge also has served as Deputy CFO, Branch Chief of the Direct Loan and Grant Branch and Staff Accountant.
Tony grew up on a small farm in rural Missouri, appreciating the benefits that USDA provides to rural America. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northeast Missouri State University (aka Truman State) in May 1989. Tony and his wife Debbie have two sons and live in Wentzville, Missouri.
