Wayne Rodgers

Wayne Rodgers, the Zero Trust Lead for the Department of Education, is leading the implementation and testing of new Zero Trust Architecture capabilities, including SASE and SOAR. He developed technical requirements, led acquisition efforts, and established a ZTA Program Management Office. Wayne also serves as a COR for multiple contracts supporting ZTA and other cybersecurity efforts.

With over 10 years of experience in the Department of Defense, Wayne has a strong background in cybersecurity. He successfully transitioned a zero-day detection and mitigation capability from the NSA to DISA and led the migration of 1.5 million users to DISA's CBII program. Wayne also led the implementation of DISA's Enterprise SOAR capability and developed technical requirements for DISA's initial ZTA prototype. He has served as a COR for several contracts and was the Technical Lead and Program Manager for each program.

Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networks & Cybersecurity from University of Maryland Global Campus.
