Mr. William Marion II

Bill Marion is the Managing Director for Growth and Strategy across the Defense and Intelligence Portfolios for Accenture Federal Services. Specific focus on enterprise IT, artificial intelligence, digital workforce up-skilling, and cyber security initiatives. Prior to this position, he served as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Air Force leading 20,000 cyber operations and support personnel across the globe with a portfolio valued at $17 billion. Bill provided oversight of the Air Force’s information technology portfolio, led Air Force enterprise cyber security policy and execution, orchestrated career management initiatives for 10,000 IT and cyber civilians, and ensured compliance with all federal CIO regulatory areas. Bill held various Air Force headquarters, command, center, group and squadron positions, often interacting with national intelligence agencies. He led technical and systems architectures, obtained funding for billion-dollar IT infrastructure programs, developed numerous IT policies, and led Defense IT reform and innovation. He started as an AF Palace Acquire intern where he received a breadth of experience in network/systems administration, program management, civilian personnel management, and training positions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Mathematics, summa cum laude, Incarnate Word College, San Antonio and a Master of Science, Computer Information Systems, distinguished graduate, St. Mary's University, San Antonio.
