Acting CFO and Assistant Secretary for Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce

Wynn is a former senior federal executive with more than 31 years of experience leading complex organizations at the highest levels, building and executing policies and strategies, and delivering on large-scale projects. She served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration at the Department of Commerce, the most senior federal career position, responsible for supporting and implementing all management, administrative and mission-support functions, operations, policies, priorities and programs for a cabinet level agency of more than 49,000 employees, 12 operating units and a budget of more than $11B. During the presidential transition of 2021, she served in notable and key political positions including the Acting Secretary of Commerce, the Acting Deputy Secretary of Commerce and the Acting Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Secretary for Administration. She has served as the agency representative to both the National Security Council Principals Committee and the National Security Council Deputies Committee. Wynn is passionate about mentorship and leadership development. She conceptualized and co-founded the United States Patent and Trademark Office Network of Executive Women, an executive-level affinity group focused on mentorship/inclusion and promoting interest in STEM careers, building a peer support network and preparing the next generation of women to lead. Wynn is a proud mom to two wonderful kids and a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Civil Engineering.
