Deepak Bhargava

Mr. Bhargava is a goal-oriented senior executive with 25 years of progressive experience in directing, managing, establishing, and maintaining financial systems and financial system operations for large public and private entities, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and Fortune 500 and multinational companies. At HHS, he provides end-to-end leadership – from oversight to policy development, compliance and monitoring to strategy development to implementation to operations – of a broad initiatives to improve HHS’ financial management environment and has been instrumental in the HHS’ success to date.
The ambitious programs Mr. Bhargava conceived and spearheaded have significantly increased the security, reliability, and availability of HHS’ financial systems and established a platform for more efficient and effective financial management and stewardship of taxpayer funds. He provided executive oversight and strategic direction to modernize and mature HHS’ overall financial management environment that manages HHS’ $1.7 trillion in budgetary resources. Mr. Bhargava is a recipient of 2016 Presidential Rank Award.
