David Berry

David Berry is the Harris County Administrator and Budget Officer. In these capacities, he oversees the financial well-being of the County and day to day operations of departments which report up to Commissioners Court. A native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Director Berry graduated from Rice University with a degree in history and economics. He began his career in the private sector, founding and serving as Chief Financial Officer for a number of successful renewable energy companies. He has served on the Boards of several non-profits, including the Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees (PAIR) and the Memorial Park Conservancy. Mr. Berry resides with his wife, who is an attorney, and two children. He speaks passable Spanish and has made Harris County home for over 20 years.
