Stephen J. Gaj
Leader, Asset Management Team, Federal Highway Administration
Stephen Gaj is Leader of the Asset Management Team in the Office of Asset Management, Pavements, and Construction for the Federal Highway Administration in Washington, D.C. He is responsible for implementation of the 23 U.S.C. 119 requirements that States develop risk-based asset management plans for the National Highway System.
Steve has been with FHWA for over 30 years. He previously worked in FHWA’s Office of International Programs, the Construction and Maintenance Division, and FHWA’s Division Offices in Maryland and Michigan.
